How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Yup, that time of the week again!

Some good news, no changes needed this week!

Similarly to last week's journal, we'll be starting off with our featured artist of the week! I won't lie, there were so many deviations this week that I felt like my head was going to explode, that atop the fact that I'm currently in my finals, I didn't nearly invest as much time in appreciating everyone's work. So I just wanted to apologize for that, but it still needs to be mentioned that I was very impressed with everyone's work, I'm just sad I didn't get to appreciate all of your stories more...

So without further ado!

Congratulations on a well deserved feature this week! Hope to see more of your work soon! Hope to continue seeing more posts from everyone in fact!!!

Now then, onto some business. Last week I had mentioned that we may or may not have an announcement for this week. It turns out that in fact we've got some awesome stuff brewing for all of you guys.

We'll be hosting our first official contest since the change in management! The contest rules are fairly simple and are as follows:

The submission must be Christmas oriented! Now, what we mean here is that Christmas must play a part in the story. This in no way limits the genre of your story. You want to make a horror-themed Christmas? Go ahead! You want to make the happiest Christmas story ever? All for it. We just ask that Christmas play an important part in the story

Your entry must be of a minimum of 2,000 words (give or take, we won't really count or anything...) and a complete story, or a standalone if you prefer. I don't think I need to really elaborate on this.

The story must also be an original work. No fanfictions for this contest. And besides, if you can write fanfiction, you can write an original story. Just change the names and we'll be none the wiser

That's all for the rules really. Next on the list is to say that the contest will be hosted 'til New Years! I understand that most of us will be busy (either like me with school, or just out celebrating and having fun). So you guys have plenty of time. We'll be announcing our winners sometime during the week following New Years (depending on how many entries we get, hopefully many!)

Can't have a contest without prizes, right? Right! We're improvising here, but for future contests we're hoping to make the prizes more interesting! So for now it's going to be points! They will be distributed as follows:

75 points for 1st place;
50 points for 2nd place;
And 25 points for 3rd place.

I am fairly certain that covers everything. If you have any questions, again, feel free to ask, we admins never sleep. Available 24/7 like... something open 24/7.... or something (graceful with words, aren't I?)

One more thing, VERY IMPORTANT

WE NEED JUDGES!!!

We'd ask a few of you to volunteer to help us sort through the submissions. We'd like this to be more a people's choice for the contest, although us admins will still have a say in the matter. We'd need about 3-4 members. If you're a judge, we'll have to ask you not to participate in the contest though.
